通过对北京地区使用不同种类改性沥青形成机理的分析、改性沥青室内常规、非常规、特殊实验和改性沥青混合料在公路路面上的实际应用，研究了各类改性剂对改性沥青所起到的改性效果。并通过改性前后的实验结果、不同种类改性剂的对比实验、不同基质沥青改性后实验结果的对比，提出对各种改性沥青在不同气候条件、交通条件下的适应性，为改性沥青在公路沥青路面中的应用提供了良好的技术支持。
